I personally like some of their non-oil purchases because there is a great selection. It’s cheaper if you sign up for a kit (and you can either send in a letter “resigning” as a distributor or let your account go inactive if you just want to buy a starter kit and get some of their oils at the discount for being a member. Or you can buy the individual oils… even better is to find a friend to buy individual oils from if you are not and/or do not want to sign up for them. I have purchased from Edens Garden a number of times. I really enjoy your products. Before making a decision, I sent a number of inquiries to them about their oils. They are very good a sending back information to help you make your decision. From everything I have learned: They are 100% pure. They have cut out the middle man so they can lower the price and they have quick service. I have purchased the same thing from a couple different places and find I like the Edens Garden best. (I can afford these, not some of the other brands, too) I personally haven’t found any discrepancies.

In looking at your map, it would only be fair to mention that Young Living oils are multi-level marketed (as are DoTerra). I feel this explains their dominance. I’m sure the quality is there, but those are two brands I refuse to purchase because I feel they are WAY overpriced and over-pushed. I have read many essential oil blogs and narrowed my purchases mainly to Mountain Rose Herbs and a few Rocky Mountain Oils. I live in Tennessee and have them shipped to me. I have run into Whole Foods and bought a couple NOW oils in a pinch and would also purchase Edens Garden or Plant Therapy oils locally, in a pinch. Thank you for your research and sharing!
I just came across Organic Infusions and am curious as to how you like them. I haven’t seen that you’ve come back to this post and would love to hear some review on this company. I will go ahead and place an order for a couple things, (geranium and lavender) and see how they compare to Aura Casia that I’ve used for years. I also like Oshadhi, but it’s not a direct company. I have to agree on the doTerra and YL issue, very sketchy indeed and I’ve stayed away from them, more because I don’t feel that the people selling the product are trained enough. We shouldn’t be ingesting EO’s, that’s not what they’re for. I hope one of you will come back and review this company. Thank you =)
Whenever I come down with a nasty cold, I make an aromatic inhaler with a synergy of three gentle, cooling oils with an affinity for the respiratory system that are high in monoterpenes and oxides. Therefore, I use rosalina, eucalyptus radiata, and german chamomile. My goal is strictly therapeutic—to open up my stuffed nasal passages and help clear my foggy mind as quickly as possible, so I don’t worry too much about loving the aroma. Rosalina is gentle and effective, and eucalyptus radiata is less aggressive than other eucalyptus oils, and its immune-enhancing properties make it a go-to upper-respiratory tonic that helps alleviate any sinus troubles.
As for this set, it’s a great way to get some commonly used essential oils for a deal, as they are cheaper in this set than they would be individually. This set includes: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Cinnamon Cassia, Eucalyptus (Globules), Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Patchouli, Peppermint Supreme, Rosemary, Spearmint, Orange & Tea Tree. They all smell reasonable to my untrained nose – not overpowering and cloying like artificial fragrance, and not weird and stinky like chemicals. The only one I can say I’m not super fond of is the Patchouli, but it’s because I’m not fond of the smell of Patchouli, not because it’s bad quality. I’ve already found lots of uses for these oils - they work great in bath bombs and in a diffuser, too. I’ve also discovered a nifty use for them: if you clean with vinegar but hate the smell, you can add 5 drops of peppermint and 5 drops of orange to the spray bottle full of vinegar, and by the next day, the smell changes! It smells far, far less vinegar-y after that. I use them in my spray-mop solution and it works great for that, too.

Topical use: Another effective way to use essential oils is topical application, since essential oils easily penetrate the skin. Once absorbed, they stay in the areas where applied. While essential oils are easily absorbed, using a light massage motion can help increase the blood flow to the area in which essential oils are applied. Likewise, using a carrier oil can also help increase essential oil absorption, especially for dry or flaky skin.

I don't just want a company that says they are pure–when deciding where to buy essential oils, I want to make SURE I'm getting purity. And more.
I, too, bought my EOs from piping rock and have had no issues (I have extremely sensitive skin due to being a natural red head). I have not had any reactions and am 100% satisfied with the quality of these oils (I do plan on doing the “test” above). But I was unable to justify paying 100’s of dollars on the “essential” EOs and got them all for about $40 from piping rock. I also use coconut oil for a carrier and recommend EVERYONE to do the same! Coconut oil is “miracle oil” in my book!!
